"Lets Eat, Randolph!" Seed Library The goal of the Turner Free Library's "Let's Eat, Randolph" Seed Library is to provide free and convenient opportunities for the Randolph community to learn about gardening and growing their own food. The Seed Library is now open and seeds are available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last! FAQs Available Seeds FAQs What is a Seed Library? A seed library is a seed distribution resource for community members who are interested in growing plants from seeds. The "Lets Eat, Randolph!" Seed Library provides community members with free seeds for plants that grow food. Who can use the Seed Library? Anyone can use the Seed Library! We welcome community members of all ages and skill levels. There is no cost to take seeds, but we ask that each household limit themselves to four seed packets per growing season. We appreciate everyone's understanding that this is a shared community service How does the Seed Library work? Community members are welcome to visit the Seed Library on the Main Floor during Turner Free Library's operating hours. Community members are welcome to choose up to four packets of seeds from the available selection at no cost. Supplies are limited and on a first come, first served basis. When should seeds be planted? There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer to this question, but a good place to start is the Farmer's Almanac Planting Guide for Randolph . This guide contains information about the best time to plant seeds, when to plant seeds directly in the ground, and when to transplant seedlings. 撥號故事 Meet the Page Turner , Randolph's very own bookmobile! The Page Turner bookmobile carries books, movies, and technology to different locations around town. Bookmobile visits help to make library services more accessible to all members of the Randolph community, helping to overcome barriers of location, transportation, and other factors that might otherwise prevent residents from using the library. Whether you're a regular library visitor or need to get your very first library card, we hope you'll stop by and see what the bookmobile has to offer! Schedule Schedule Visit Request About Where the Page Turner Story Begins On April 5th, 2023, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) visited Randolph to celebrate the $524,000 in federal funding she secured for Turner Free Library to support the acquisition and equipping of a bookmobile. At the event, Rep. Pressley was joined by Randolph Town Manager Brian Howard, Randolph Director of Library, Recreation, and Community Programs Elizabeth LaRosee, Turner Free Library Director Sharon Parrington Wright, Superintendent of Randolph Public Schools Thea Stovell, Randolph Public Schools students, and community leaders and members. “Students deserve a fair and equitable learning environment, and I am proud to celebrate these federal resources that represent a crucial step towards achieving just that,” said Rep. Pressley. “This funding is a direct investment in our young people, our families, and our communities.
